Our engine organizes published manufacturer specifications—from sensor size and bitrate to flight time and wind resistance—into a consistent profile for every drone.
Rule-Based Scoring
Each drone is evaluated against the same predefined thresholds. The resulting scores summarize the available specifications; they do not represent measurements gathered by operating the drones.
Mission Focused
A drone isn't 'good' or 'bad' in a vacuum. We classify drones by their 'Mission'—Travel, Cinema, FPV, etc.—to ensure we're recommending the right tool for your specific needs.
Built for Repeatable Updates
When a model's source data changes, the same normalization and scoring process can be run again. Rankings reflect the models and artifacts currently in the database.

We collect published technical specifications from manufacturer sources and normalize compatible units so models can be evaluated on a consistent basis.
Dimensional Scoring
Our engine evaluates each drone across four key dimensions: Flight Performance, Camera Quality, Transmission Range, and Safety Features. These aren't arbitrary; they are weighted sums of specific technical capabilities.
Contextual Ranking
Finally, we use the analysis artifacts' suitability tags and scores to organize models for specific use cases. These rankings cover the models currently represented in the database.
